Why don't you do it in SIMPLE ENGLISH and post your PICTURE and have a MAP that shows your house and also have another picture that shows you teaching.

This will:

1. Make it personal.

2. The map will show people you are a neighbor.

3. The simple English will engage people who want to dig on a foreign teacher.

4. Make it NOT junk mail.

Yeah I was thinking about that. Make it really simple. I mean, the students that we're likely to get will be the ones that can speak a bit of English anyway.

I've had very very little success with flyers and posters. I stuck up a lot on poles last year and had no luck.

Recently I had a couple of hits from ads I left in a restaurant and supermarket. I had them written out in Japanese.

I've also heard the same thing about flyers from people who own schools, very low hit rate.
