for the information, Paul, though it's discouraging. It makes me feel so much better to hear that EVERYONE is now getting shafted rather than just non-Japanese. (sarcasm) Unfortunately, I think governments/ business will always capitalize on hard economic times to reduce workers' rights. Also, unfortunately, I am thinking that it's rare to get workers standing up for themselves here and often the arch-conservative courts aren't really upholding the spirit of the laws when they do try. We REALLY need more protection for all kinds of human and workers' rights in Japan, but the government is too busy trying to reform the Post Office to notice.
