Clyde either way you look at it your involvement in this thread has been totally unhelpful, and possibly misleading.
Anyway, at least the OP can now see that the earlier post by Clyde bears ignoring, which raises the question as to why Clyde would bother posting it at all  |

That was some funny 5hit.
However all jokes aside the cost of living is higher in Taiwan than it is in mainland China. That being said mainland China varies vastly from place to place. If you are ever thinking about getting a job in the North Central part of China (dirty, dusty, hot summers, cold winters, nobody speaks English outside of the campus but one of the nicest places I have ever lived) I can give you some pointers.  |

| I've been teaching in Taiwan for a month after two years in China (oh excuse me I meant the mainland). It's a not a big island, but there's quite a variety in the sort of teaching experience to be had here. I've met people doing quite well here financially and having a lot of fun on the weekends. My experience has been different, but I have to say that I like many things about Taiwan. |
