In my part of China there's work for people of all ages - it isn't a factor in getting hired because there's such a need for teachers. A 19 or 20 year old with a TESOL cert can get work with a perfectly comfortable salary and benefits - air fare over and back, accommodation and four times the local wage. Must be easier here than in other places.
The point the I'd caution about is being able to handle the stint at your age. My experience is that a younger person really does have a more difficult time adapting to the work and the 're-location.' I can be more specific in an email if you want. |
