best
1. my apartment here (interior and size)
2. the job itself, my colleagues (just 3 of them) and the boss.... at least on at least 99% of the days
3. the money compared to the cost of living
4. the climate
5. damascus, the city
Bonus number 6. no foreign 'complainers' or misfits. at least, havent met one here yet
worst (and this takes effort to think of)
1. the driving and traffic
2. the lack of small change when travelling / shopping
3. climbing the stairs to reach my apartment
4. the trainee slackers (of which there are actually very few)
5. the present perfect

worst-- Australian women!!!
best---women like CaperGirl/ValleyGirl--where is she???
OK, to be serious:
the worst thing has got to be the conditions in certain schools i worked in----no air con, no protection from the noise of the street.
the best thing was obviously the students, bar nothing. |

best:
meeting new people, experiencing new cultures
can be a career or a springboard to one if approached right
always a job possibility
worst:
rampant dishonesty permeating every aspect of the process
people who see you as a passport or a wallet |
