| If you are looking for mild weather than Shanghai and the surrounding area may not be for you. I live about a 3 hour drive from Shanghai and it's freezing right now. You may want to look more south. |

Shanghai and surrounds are pretty chilly from Dec-Feb, but I didn't find it too bad.
The other side of the ledger, summer is long, hot, humid and oppressive.
Climate wise, NE seaside cities such as Qingdao are pretty nice. |

Historically, Xi'an is a mecca -- the 'Alexandria' of China...And if you like outdoorsy stuff like hiking and mountain biking it's a hot spot as well.
But don't hope to stay here a long time and not run out of things to do...It's the Hamilton, Ontario of China....And the bars are ALL the same.
The air is shite..a hack fest
Go to Beijing....(unless you can't handle -20 degree winds) |
