Professional goals:
> Find a satisfying teaching job in the U.S. when I get back, in a city where my wife can also find a satisfying job.
> I'd like to become a certified teacher trainer (that is, I can train teachers for their TEFL certificates). Trinity, CELTA, maybe SIT (the SIT seems the most likely, and one I have the most control over pursuing). I've wanted this for a long time, but now I think I'm ready for it (2006 will be successful in this regard if I just manage to get started - I don't have to finish it until next year)
> Get a band going again (playing for beer, maybe for a bit of money - not for my main source of income, but as I'm going back to the U.S. I'm not sure what I'll have to do).
Personal goals:
> Reach HSK Intermediate level in Mandarin Chinese
> Continue to improve my Spanish, guitar playing and piano playing
> Start recording some music (4-track, maybe?)
> Get a good, solid start studying Arabic (this is the least important for this year - if I get the others and not this at all in 2006, that's a success) |

| I never wait until the end of the year to make resolutions. Why would I unless I was a major procrastinator and non of my resulutions had snowball's chance in hell of becoming reality? |

I will resist making smart aleck comments or off-colour jokes no matter how tempting it may be!
I hope your cat appreciates the extra attention... |
