Personally, I think all men should avoid shorts at all times. Unless of course they have the legs of Paolo Maldini or Luis Figo. In which case they may wear shorts wherever they want.
And that's my considered opinion on the matter! |

| I was about to do a topless pose and post it here...by topless, I mean Bebsi below the waist in ultra skimpy shorts. So, Cleop, you don't think it's a goer, that idea? |

Please give us lots of warning if you actually do such a thing, so we don't scroll down and have our delicate sensibilities upset...

Incorrect use of pronouns is, however, a relatively major error from a purported "English teacher". |
No pronouns were abused or hurt. No pronouns were misplaced or mistreated in the making of this post.
Pronoun and preposition are two entirely different animals in th grammar jungle.
Knowledge of grammar is not, however a predicate to being a successful English language instructor.
So, Cleopatra don't be downhearted. |

Well, that be great then, cos so now many peoples can go to became a successful english teacher.
I DO hope you were using 'predicate' ironically! Otherwise, you really have put yourself in a premonition, with your prerequisite for using predilections in sentences. I had a predicament this was going to happen.

I did, and Predicate does not appear to fit your sentence or to mean what you seem to think it means. It is out of context.
Were you looking for Prerequisite? |

I too would prefer to use 'prerequisite' in that sentence, but in my dictionary, the first definition of the noun 'predicate' could work.
I'm too lazy to type it out though...

I've got Webster as well, and you can access it online from the firefox search dialog. Here is the first meaning. I fail to see how it is appropriate.
| Quote: |
| 1 a : something that is affirmed or denied of the subject in a proposition in logic b : a term designating a property or relation |

Grammar/dictionaries aside, Prodigy, you never seem to have much good to say about the Kingdom do you? I think every single one of your posts that I have read has been negative! |

Your are correct, Jonks. I've tried to redress the balance.
Howdy Saudi !
Come to The Magic Kingdom and experience a Pleasure Paradise.
Teaching groups of enthusiastic pupils from all walks of life; their enthusiasm to learn, dedication and strong work ethic will inspire you to ever-greater heights.
An open-minded, relaxed, naturally inquisitive attitude transferred from daily life to the classroom will ensure your job is satisfying and meaningful.
Inspire lively, healthy discussion on a range of topics : music, art, religion, history, relationships to name a few.
Loyal support from a professional administration department is provided. Teaching resources are state-of-the-art with emphasis on equipment maintenance.
The Saudi culture, well known for its humour will make living in The Magic Kingdom a pleasure. Exploration of the culture is encouraged and will inspire you to tell friends about this unique country.
And it's not just within confines of the modern classrooms where life blossoms.
Step onto the streets. Pedestrians are respected, traffic laws rigidly enfrorced and driving a delight.
The manicured parks and gardens, elegant coffee houses and street buskers bring life to a colourful desert kingdom. Some people have said, "There is a lot of nothing here," That is just an opinion!
Speak to locals and those working in the country to gauge a flavour of attitudes. Taxi drivers who have been working for decades, cleaners, gardeners, foreign teachers will give frank opinions of the Saudi experience. It's infectious.
And the climate ? Unyeilding; matching the culture faultlessly.
There is variety, wise use of resources and strong investment for the future.
Camel milk is the natural Viagra.
PS - how did I do ? |
