The tone of the OP is a bit insulting. Maybe men take advantadge of the cache of being from US/UK. But women are voluntarily disregarding men from their culture and seeking out men from US/UK. What does that say about them that they automatically seek some one more educated and financially stable. It sounds just as materialistic as seeking out a woman who is beautiful. It seems to me the sword cuts both ways.

This the emphasis behind this post sounds like it is coming from the OPs disatisfaction with her own relationship or the lack of.

I'll flip the OP's question around a bit. Why do women in eastern Europe go after western men? Is it really because they think they're better-off financially or educationally? Is it really because they want to live in London or New York, where the streets are paved with gold?

Perhaps it's because:
* They're interesting. They're from a different culture, have had different experiences, etc.
* They aren't the local men. It's no secret that western men treat (I'll use Russia as an example) Russian women different than Russian men do. For better or worse is a matter of taste.

Myriad other reasons.

In my experience (two years in Ukraine, now in Russia), I've found that those (usually western women) who call western men "losers back home" are either a) bitter; b) envious; c) callous; or d) all of the above. Why? Perhaps because they don't have the success in the chosen country that the men do. I don't know, only they can answer.

I detect a hint of jealousy in this posting, after all if I am attracted to someone from another Nationality, who speaks another language and even is a different Color. Then I will date her....

Its not my fault, that in the dying post-developed Countries. That most Women, want their Cake and eat it. No wonder, most of my friends have divorced Parents, and they hide away from a "relationship."

I can go on about the Western Ladies I have seen working in developing Countries. Who sleep around with local Guys, and even marry them. But I notice no one here, is criticising them!.

I even can list several Countries, were women visit as Sex Tourists from these post-developed Countries. Lets have some balance here.
