stu123, I hate you. Stress was minimal? Students from all over the world? Not as busy as teaching high school? This was not the course I had nor the same description of place. Even the description of the overpriced accommodation. While the quality of the facilities is debatable, it was cheap enough for short-term visitors who had no business with the school came there just because the rooms were so cheap. Did things change so drastically in the past year?

I imagine things did change drastically. That Jan/Feb course would have been affected by Hurricane Wilma.

CDaniels...you are in Denver?

It is still a consideration for the near future. BTW There happens to be a couple of certification programs there. Right now I am in a winter storm with an expected 66 cm of snow and -12 degrees C Yipee!

CDANIELS.....I was not defending CELTA....just sharing my experiences and helping to answer some questions posted. CELTA by no means is the only way....no doubt. Did not mean to come off that way.

So much of our success is based on our attitudes...conversely, our attitudes are also based on our success ( or the lessons we learn from when we do not succeed)! CELTA was a great experience for me...so I can positively espouse the program. It serves as a great foundation to mix with our experiences we bring with us.

Best Wishes to you and your future.
