| Not the best form of reading practice, dmb. Apart from Bruce Willis/Schwartzenegger/Van Damme/Stallone nonsense, late-night flesh flicks are very popular, and you don't need subtitles to follow the plot! |

How about a copy of "Follow, Follow" for reading practice?
I doubt that Scot47's taste in cinema includes brainless brawn films. "Goodbye Mr Chips" soulnds more like his cup of tea. |

I thought Danish products were being boycotted. Clearly there are one or two exceptions! |

|
|
The closest I can get to Shakespeare in terms of the Saudi classroom are a paraphrasing of the immortal lines:
Once more into the teach dear friends, once more,
Or close the wall with our English-learning dead.
Speaking of movies, I once purchased a promising title from a dodgy looking bloke in Soho, "Bored Swedish Housewives Get Hot and Wet". I took it home, and spent half an hour watching two women in Malmo, Ulrika and Frida, sitting in a kitchen with nothing to do, until the central heating got too hot and they stepped out in the rain to cool down. On another occasion, "Nylon Blow Job Tarts" turned out to be about a team of workmen in a wind tunnel who had apple pies wrapped in old anoraks, for lunch.
Do you think they would be suitable for a Saudi classroom? I will sell them to the highest bidder. Any serious offers????????? |
