Two things you need to do:

1) Make sure that you are flattering your husband's ego, too, although not in imitation of the young Asian style. Be yourself, but be your most appealing self (without being fake about it--if you have reason to be angry, say so). But expressions of jealousy or put downs of your presumed rivals always backfire.

2) Be super friendly to all the sweet young things in his classes, but if you're with him and some young thing starts batting her eyelashes at him, give her your meanest-looking death ray stare, all the while having your arm around your husband's waist.

If one of the SYTs makes a serious play for your husband, as opposed to simply being giggly and star-struck around the exotic foreigner, find a local ally to go talk to the girl's parents. A lot of Asian parents do NOT want their daughters involved with a foreigner.

Ouch that is sad. I find it sad that anyone would need someone else's opinion or approval. I find such ego stroking repulsive. Actions tell the story.

If he values his wife more then none of this is necessary. If he values one of these other women more then it does not matter.

From what I have read Asian (oriental) families are much tighter then western families. They also seem to be more open to westerners then westerners are to them. The latter is a one sided observation based on what I witnessed here in the west.

Can't we all just get along? Wink
