I don't know whose rice field plays into what survey, but anybody interested in KK should know whether or not they'll be working in "the city" or at KKU, which is its own, self-contained mini-city a few KM from the downtown. I live, work, eat, and play within the university and at times have gone two weeks without going downtown, and sometimes I'm a bit spoiled. "25 baht for gway teow sen lek tam?! Not where I live!"
Added bonus of living within the university: many, many 20-something girls who could charm my pants off anytime they want...
