You can even order a Dell computer here, so PCs are easy to get here. As to an English OS, it's possible, at Dell by mailorder and other places. A little bit harder to get English software, but there are some places to get it (depending on where you'll be staying) or you can order it online (or bring it). 'Futsol' is a game of soccer played with a smaller ball, it's becoming popular here, might be a fun alternative for you.

I just checked Dell Austrailia and Dell Japan. The prices are almost exactly the same. I'd probably get it in Austrailia so all of the software and OS will be in English. Also, Japanese keyboards are different. It's a little bit annoying if you've been typing for many years and suddenly you don't know where a key is.

Have you considered a Mac. I bought a powerbook here last year. The OS language can be changed just by changing an option in system preferences and rebooting. Cool! I have a PC too, but I love that Mac.

As for Internet. I pay almost 6,000 per month for a fiber optic connection through a company called Nifty. But, as has been said, there are many many options for Internet.

Good Luck

Thankyou everyone who gave me advice, it was great.

I'm finally going to Japan tomorrow, so until I get internet connected I won't be around here regularly.

I am sure I'll be back for more advice as soon as I can!

Thank you all!
