If you can find a job, I think you should be looking at more like 7,500 with a master's and a family. Also your experience will come into play. |

I can't believe that you are saying 6000RM is a low wage!
I have lived here, very well I might add, for 4000rm per month.
It is more expesive than Thailand, but the cost of living, once you are settled here is not much different. |

I would also add that you shouldn't believe everything you read about requirements for a teaching post/visa. Native speakers are very much in demand here in Malaysia, and despite there being a standard of spoken English, there is still a real need for expat teachers. There are many other nationalities who get posted here, and need and require native teacher tuition. |
