So we have some unknown company that has taken over the Marconi contract and a Saline desalination company. Well thats what I call lots. I hope you don't teach English that way!

I know that area. Tabuk itself is pretty dismal-even by Saudi standards. The desert landscape and coast, however, are magnificent. It's also about a day's drive to Petra in Jordan-and-dare I say it? Israel.

What do you think we are? Free recruitment agencies.

I have plenty of colleagues who worked for different companies in Eastern Province. Sometimes the work got contracted out, sometimes the people left. Sometimes the companies started hiring direct again; sometimes they never stopped. In general what they all have in common is that there are not a lot of vacancies. Sabic has officially outsourced all training centrally for its affiliates, so there are not likely to be lots of positiions, but one or two in each company there will be.

Remember its the worse-paying jobs that are always going to be advertised the most, because people keep leaving them.
