harvey world? i never considered that they'd be any good... so it's great to hear it from someone who has it! i suppose they cover the usual - but do they cover medicine too? or just the doctors fees?

i should go check it out... it'll have to be some time next week i guess. thanks for the advice, mate.

Yes, they cover medicines as well. I got terribly sick over a space of 5 days. I managed to catch conjuctivitis, bronchitis, enterocolitis, 40 degree temp, influenza and to top it all off major migraine! The total cost of all this including medicine was $465. The company put a cheque in the mail 10 days later... no questions.

Reading from the brochure right now and it says you are covered for the following; Unlimited Medical and additional expenses, full cost of cancellation, Lugguage and personal effects to the value of $10,000, Death or disability by injury to the value of $25,000, Travel Documents to the value of $3,000, Replacement Airfare to the value of $5000, Personal liability to the value of $5,000,000, Legal expenses to the value of $10,000 and rental vehicle excess to the value of $2000.

A 12 month policy is $1170. I only took out the 6 month policy of $685 because I wasnt sure how long I was staying. They said you can upgrade and pay the difference if you plan on staying longer. (A good way to save cash!). I researched 7 different travel insurances companies terms and conditions prior to leaving Australia and discovered Harvey was the best.
The major difference I found was that some policies only cover you for $75 per night in a hospital where as Harvey covers $125 per night for your bed cover.

However, please dont take my advice for it. You should read each brochure carefully and apply it to your individual circumstances. GOOD LUCK Smile
