| I loved Prague. Great idea to take your TESL course there. Where do you plan on working after you're done? Best of luck with the course and your future career. |

Don't be nervous.
You'll be perfectly fine.
let me tell you a story. I decided to take my TEFL course in Alexandria...EGYPT of all places. Well, there's no big international airport there. Just a small one served by like Lufthansa and Air Egypt and that's about it. So basically I had to land in Cairo and catch a bus to Alex knowing not one word of Arabic.
Before I even got onto the first leg of my flight, I had an anxiety attack. I was upchucking and the stewardess on the plane actually kicked me off the plane! (YES. I was one of THOSE people that everyone was staring at on the plane.) I was sent to the hospital, checked out etc. Everything was fine. They put me on the plane the next day. And I arrived in Cairo in one piece. But, I didn't know where to buy the bus tickets to Alex. There were no signs. not in English. not in Arabic. THey're just rooms and I guess it's accepted knowledge that they're the ticket window. A woman who could only say "syrian. I don't speak english." helped me get my bus ticket. Then the guy sitting next to me on the bus (which I find out now is totally not viewed as acceptable behavior here) spoke English. He used his cell phone to speak to the program director to come and get me (since I was a day late after all). After all that, I had only missed orientation and the first 5 minutes of class on the first day. In the end, really, I had nothing to get worried about.
Basically don't get nervous because in the end, you'll be in a beautiful place, meet some great people, and never forget the experience. |

Good luck mate,
Keep us all posted. You never know someone might help with your lesson plans.
Try the deep fried camembert.
Watch out for the Czech beer. It is cheaper than here and better.
Remember you are there to get a Certificate not a hangover, or a wife..... |
