Yes, it does. You need to try state schools as well as language schools - and they pay better too!
Keep an eye on http://jobs.tes.co.uk
Quite a few vacancies for English teachers in state schools come up there - though not necessarily in Barcelona.

I just arrived in Barcelona on Monday but i had emailed a few CV�s to schools before i came here. I only completed my TEFL course in June & therefore have no experience yet. However i had 2 interviews yesterday, 2 today, 1 next Monday & 1 next Tuesday and have already had interest from a few other business schools (which id prefer not to do). All are very aware that i do not have experience but are still keen!!
So don�t be put off coming here if you have no experience - many schools prefer that now as they offer there own training. Though you may have a lot more chance of finding work in the suburbs - Terrassa, Sabadell, St Boi etc - check out www.loquo.com also for local jobs & accom. |
