You can certainly tell that is it end of semester and everyone is easily distracted.
Your credentials are good, but the Mexican passport will be the holdup. As I said, your chances improve greatly if you can be interviewed in person. I would look into attending an ISS conference (Boston or San Francisco), and/or the TESOL Convention. That would also allow you to look at areas other than the Middle East.

Does TEFL really mean Teaching English as a Foreign Language?
For a long time I thought it meant, Teaching English to Fall in Love.
Then, I discovered that Teacher Exploitation in Foreign Lands was much more appropriate.
Any more suggestions? What about TESOL? ESP? EAP? CALL? TOEFL? |

TEFL: Teaching English for Liquids (Money), (not funny huh?, for all teachers)
ESL: English as a Superior Language, (not bad: Could be British English))
EFL: English as a Fleet Language, (Could be American English)
TESOL: Teaching English to Secure Oil (AE)
CALL: Computer Aggressive Language Lasso
EAP: English for Attacking Pupils
ESP: English for Specific Pleasures
And the list goes on! |
