Yes of course. How else does she consume human flesh? |

I wasn't referring to the Turkey forum in particular, I was actually referring to Dave's ESL Cafe on a whole.
Anyways..... thanks for the reply and the advice Tararu. The ad said 300-500 pounds a week, not a month. I don't have any experience working as a governess. But that chick who was making 1000 pounds a week, holy moly that is a lot of cash!!! I've never worked with kids before (with or without ADD!) but I was curious about the high salaries at Anglo Nannies. How did you enjoy it on a whole? How long did you do it for? |

Sorry, l thought you wrote per month. Anyway, Anglo Nannies provides nannies for the richest families in Turkey. There are a lot of filthy rich people in Istanbul. If you can afford a fleet of 5 top pf the range mercedes and a ferrari, then the odd inconvenience of 1000 pounds for a nanny isn't too much. The kids l looked after wore prada and gucci, and they were only 5 years old.
If you are to get 500 a week for a few hours teaching a day, then l say go for it, BUT make sure that you don't get roped into extra hours. The famlies have a great knack of taking over your life. |

| If you can handle being kicked, spat on and slapped by small children, then working for a super rich family is an absolutely great way to make a huge amount of money very quickly especially if you are a live in nanny. Live in nannies used to make at least 500 pounds a week. |

Here's a link to a company set up by a couple of Australian girls who nannied in Istanbul for a few years. I have met one of the girls. She told me that some clients really do pay well, but they are usually over-the-top demanding.

Yes the pay is cool and is what it says, plus you pay no fees and you get other perks too like goin on holidaze and gettin paid for it but the kids are quite spoilt so you hafta work hard to bring them into the real world..and its a gamble with what kinda family you get..mine is really co-operate and open minded but apparently im very lucky so ive heard... |

Thanks for pointing out my spelling mistake too..yes its co-operative - tut tut! what was i thinking...im so ashamed...
The irony is though that i was considering language teaching here but the posts were so negative on this site that I began looking for another way of earning $$$$$...thus becoming an Anglo Nanny..
p.s you should know Miss Piggy never tells porkies.. |

'Looks like you are really co-operate with your employer'
I thought you were taking the p*** |
