By the way, I wrote:

Reading is also an important skill.

My apologies. I was very wrong. I read too quickly.

The document was from somebody in KUALA LUMPUR rather than somebody in Indonesia.

So it was somebody in KUALA LUMPUR who misspelled both "Kuala Lumpur" and "Selangor Darul Ehsan" in an important document.

That makes perfect sense to me. Laughing

eijse,

You're a poor excuse for a poster. All you do is insult him. You have not posted one constructive or informative thread or comment, merely a string of single issue attacks. You are a bore. I can understand why you may have a disagreement with him, but this is bordering on the insane. I strongly suggest you seek much needed help and visit a shrink. Your posts say much more about yourself than anyone or anything else. Let go of your petty grudges and you'll feel a whole lot better.

Bunny has just written all of the cliches that Internet forum trolls always use to dismiss somebody. Did she omit any of them?

The fact remains that "Miss Fitz" has very little credibility here and evidently has a spotty record as both an English teacher elsewhere and as a poster on Dave's Cafe.

The cliche used by the previous poster for a start. Plus all the ones employed by eijse to dismiss Fitz.

I don't know Fitz nor do I know those attacking him, but what he says about his problems in Indonesia is worth listening to in my opinion. I wouldn't want that to happen to me.

As for his job in Yemen, if I had a Director of Studies that hounded and harrassed me in such fashion, I would be screaming a warning at the top of my voice to others to stay well clear.

My point (Eijse74) is: I said that micropiglet did not think that the document was fake. He then said that he never said it was fake !
But I did not accuse him of saying it was fake ! So what is he talking about ? He is denying something which was never said. In fact I said the exact opposite!

And so I made the little joke:"Reading is also an important skill." Obviously he had misread what I had written. Otherwise why would he deny something that nobody has accused him of ? Does he walk down the street shouting "I am not a criminal" ?

The reason that I wrote this in the first place(that is,"Also note that micropiglet, who is currently working for IH Malaysia, is not claiming that the document is false.") is that someone else was accusing me of creating a false document and I wanted to show them that I had my mate (micropiglet) on my side.

And then we get your gibberish about babies and music. Your "poor excuse for a post." Why don't you just stick to outright insults - its about your level.

Not too bothered as I have long since moved on from teaching. Saying that, I did a great year at IH KL from 2003-4. But it was only any good because I like Malaysia so much, still do.

But I did a year at IH without any work permit or pieces of paper allowing me to work in the country. The school staff could not have cared less about this fact. Yet, every single one of the international students had valid study visas.

Every three months, I could have been turned away from the border at Hat Yai or wherever. Any ex-teacher with a grudge, and there must be a bucket load at a school with unstable permanent staff like that, could drop an e-mail to the Malaysian authorities at any time, and this problem would be solved - no more white teachers, just locals, sorted.

This Fitzpatrick sounds a right numpty, but theres no smoke without fire.
