thanks for the tips...my contact at my school said that the school has a deal with a local shop, but its always good to have a back up plan...
like i said, i'm a bit of a "worst case scenario" planner, so thats why i included the scooter costs in that "initial" amount of money i'm planning on, but i really wasnt planning on picking up a scooter right off the bat anyways....im planning on doing the right thing and getting my license, which of course means i'll need an ARC, which probably wont happen for (i'm guessing) 3-4 weeks after my arrival
although....i think that rental idea is a good plan, especially if it includes repairs & oil changes, etc....
