regarding my colleague, he just text messaged me and it seems that the school paid his salary for july, his air ticket reimbursement, his holiday pay, and they waived the "utility bill" for RMB3200 as they couldnt produce a proper bill from the power company for him to see.

so the lesson here is: if a school tries to rip you off and you know you're in the right, just hang in there and dont back down. even tho they can make things difficult for you, it seems they'll give up the charade once they know you're serious about getting what you deserve.
