| Do anything you have to do to get the salary, if them cheating you out of your salary is ok in their eyes, then you lying to them is not bad at all. Do what it takes to get the salary and then when you get gone, go to one of the blacklists on the internet and report the school so no one else falls victims to them again. |

Dear FT,
1. If you are employed legally and have a work permit, you can ask the foreign affairs police to mediate for you. Try and get a referral from your consulate, that way the FAP will have some accountability.
2. If not take matters into your own hands. Never push or hit someone, it's the person who hits first is at fault. Take a witness with you, a local friend is good too.
If your tough, take some office equipment/computers of real value from their office and walk out with it. I know of a FT-principal that did that and got his salary. Tell them you will return it when you get paid. This is the Chinese way. Make sure it's far more value than your salary, preferably with their whole admin system on it. You can sell it and get some money back if you want to.
Just remember how many people you are up against. Bring some friends.
3. Ask for support from other foreign friends/teachers who work fro the same school. If it's your salary today, it's their salary tomorrow.
Good Luck.
P.s. I know what it's like, i've lost my salary before because of unethical management. |
