Should I give up beer for Ramadan? No, my upbringing tells me it is a matter of choice.

It's like lent isn't it? I remember back in the UK people used give up stuff like chocolate or go on a diet, which is hardly spiritual. But then again nor is religion.

Why is religion not spiritual?

Organised religion tends to be centred around dogma than real inner spirituality.

Arrggggg! I have very dark rings under my eyes and I want to search out and destroy the architect who designed this "building" I live in. The walls hold nothing back. At nearly 4am the alarms start going off. Then my neighbour, whose kitchen is on the other side of my bedroom wall Shocked, starts rattling pots and pans and making tea, shortly later that drummer (sputtering and spitting as I write) comes boom BOOM BOOM down the sokak, setting off car alarms. THEN my kid wakes up, crying.
