The education allowance has been a changing proposition. They tried to do away with it completely a few years back and that didn't work. For the next few years, they tinkered with it. If you get an offer, at that time you can tie down exactly what you are being offered. It is probably a specific amount of money which 'supposedly' covers the costs for X children... normally two around the Gulf.
As the years have passed, education allowances have tended to lag behind tuition cost rises.

| Thanks VS, but the post from harmonious made it seem SQU didn`t even cover the tuition for one, something very hard to believe. |

Best to wait to see what they say as an offer. I know that their allowance is low... such is the reality in Oman. Some teachers sent their kids to the Filipino schools as it was cheaper, and its education quality was fine.
