A freshly minted American Citizen woman returned to Poland to be with her new man last summer. They were going to get jobs and come back to america with the extra cash they were going to earn in a few months. Yet, neither managed to land a full time job. The young man did get a temporary job doing full manual labor demolishing an old building for 5 zloty per hour. This lasted about 3 weeks working 10+ hour days. Embarassed

I puzzle over how low the wage was for him and over the apparent shortage of jobs that were acceptable jobs to them. Nevertheless, this is one example of a Polish firm paying substandard wages to a hard working young man in his mid 20's. 5 pln ! ? Yet they were glad to pay rent on their flat that month and then they moved into a cheaper place. (Otherwise they lived off of her savings and small cash gifts from me ). If a higher wage will cause a worker to quit after the first paycheck due to the exceeding high amount of money, that would be overpaying. But if 10 pln keeps the worker coming back and happy; hej, the answer is self evident. Wink

( hihihi just thought I'd plug in that little story )

I'm doing very well thank you very much. I'm earning more here (Warsaw) then i did doing administration jobs in IT back in the UK. It's not difficult to earn well in Poland.
Study your market,
Sell yourself high,
work hard,
present yourself well and away you go.
Mind you Warsaw must be the only place in which you got a really good shot of earning good money (this is just an assumption, mind you).

Seriously though, if you expect to earn good money (doing one on ones, or even in school - i get paid the same irrespective of what i do) wearing jeans and a t-shirt and wanting things your way without being flexible, then you're stuffed as far as a high income is concerned.
