I had vaguely heard of Cliff Richard, but he never made much impact in the US... and certainly not at Christmas. We have our own has beens over here who do the Christmas shows each year.

No... haven't heard of the Smiths, but haven't paid much attention to music for a very long time... (and I knew the guilty party of ad inclusion Laughing)

We are actually all being very disrespectful. It is Sir Cliff Richard.( or is it Sir Harry Webb?) I, on the other hand, am still plain old dmb.

Oh I missed that reference to Top Gear...

I miss Top Gear... loved that show... BBC America doesn't show it... such a disappointment.

BBC America
Leave the British Broadcasting Corporation alone. Do Americans have to get involved with everything? Wink

Blame that one on BBC, not on America...

I have written to them to complain that we want BBC World... not this sad effort to try to target the US audience... like we don't have enough crappy American serials, they have to bring us the crappy British serials to add to them.

What we need is decent international news coverage and good documentaries and analysis... (snd Top Gear!!) and instead we get The Office and Monarch of the Glen or whatever they're called...

I would love to have access to BBC Prime. We get BBC World broadcast at different times of the day on PBS here.

All we get here on PBS is a half-hour newscast 5 days a week... apparently news doesn't happen on weekends. (it was the same on the East coast)

Sorry dmb... I had never tabbed you as a lover of serials... even if they are Scottish... Laughing ...
