not to blow my own trumpet, CG-- ahem--- but beleive it or not people used to tell me I looked like the great Cruise. (TRUE) ... However, that was about 15 to 10 years ago, and time has marched on since then....

And out of that list of Waspy countries I would say UK and Canada have some decent looking blokes(trying out my Britenglish here) in that order. The others? Hmm.

When my students asked me what movie star I thought was cute I had to say Ethan Hawke for lack of a better answer. Buradu Pitto-no thanks. Is Tom Cruise Canadian? He can cruise right on by me-too many rumors swirling around him-too all-American looking as well. I wonder how many mirrors he owns.

Tom Cruise isn't Canadian, as far as I know. Maybe you've confused him with Mike Myers? I frequently get the two mixed up Very Happy

Tom Cruise was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. He moved to the U.S. to become a Hollywood movie star, like so many people from Various countries do.

Don't worry, I would never confuse Mike Meyers with anyone. Wink

He's a funny man, that Austin Powers. Come to think of it, a lot of great comedians made their way over to the U.S. from Canada (most from Ontario, for some reason Laughing

). Jim Carrey, Phil Hartman, et al. Too bad we can't entice our talent to stay, but c'est la vie.

Sorry Capergirl I just checked and Tom was born in Syracuse, NY and schooled in NJ.

Canadians that come to mind-Michael J. Fox( from BC), Keanu Reeves, Matthew Perry, Jason Priestly(from BC), Kiefer Sutherland.

I didn't know Keanu was Canadian, but the U.S. can keep him...and Kiefer, too! Laughing
