I came to Japan in 1987 just out of university and my first job was with Graham Page at Language House. he sent me all over the place, including Sakaide, tokushima and Anan. I also taught for him at Otsuka Seiyaku, which makes Pocari Sweat.
I liked the people in Takamatsu, very friendly and open. It was hard going though when you dont have a lot of money and dont know where all the good places for entertainment are. Im sure things have changed now that the bridge is open and you can go across to Honshu more easily. When I was there the only way off the island was by ferry- the bridge opened in 1988. |

Well, been here almost a month now, and really doing well.
