I've only seen an advert for one winter camp - - in Taiwan - - and they're full, so I've been told. Sorry to go off-topic, but it might help the OP too. Anyone have any info about winter camps in China? Parts south would be better.

Are you sure that your FAO didn't get the names of the months mixed up? The Chinese, even after working through the months on their fingers, still get their names wrong. Given that government school students will not finish their terms until probably the first week in February and that, therefore, exams will be in the last week of January in all probability, I would have expected schools who want their students to study intensively for the exams, the schools' own exams for God's sake, to ask ft's to cease and desist from about 8th January.

The December date does seem excessive. What can they be thinking if they choose to employ foreign teachers but then choose to use them for only 3.5 months (on pay) and then to turn them loose for 2.5 months without pay? It sounds to me as if, if this is really what they are up to, you could do better. Look for another employer.
