Actually both classes are elective classes and are pretty well attended (30-40). 'The Lord of the Rings' class is popular (many of the students that take it have already read it in Japanese at least), but I know some people drop out after they see the amount of homework that is given (there are regular readings in 'The Lord of the Rings', as well as some outside analysis). |
