Hey GambateBingBangBoom (or as I hear the name in my head, "ba-da-bing, ba-da-boom," the effect of seeing one too many Scorcese movies )
|
That's the idea.
Gam bada Bing
Bada Bang
Bada BOOM!!!
It's from a radio commercial for 2-4-1 Pizza played on CFNY (AKA The Edge) in the 90's "Call 2-4 1, call 2-4-1 ehhh! Bada bing bada bang bada Boom!" or something to that effect.
Hi, Gambate,
Yeah, I remember that. Maybe I should have called myself "Nine six seven, eleven, eleven, call Pizza Pizza, heeeyyy, hey, hey." Those commercials really worm their way in, don't they?
"Gambatte (kudasai)" is Japanese for "do your best!" or "Try hard!" |
In that spirit, I say to you "Namaste."

And there might be stomach bugs while your body adjusts to new food and kitchen hygiene... |
agreed. Just as more than 50% of tourists will come down with some mild travelers diarrhea, a recently arrived teacher will not be immune.
Pepto-Bismal pills are a good thing to have in your kit, and I suggest getting some some "Cipro" if you can get an inexpensive prescription before you leave your country.
Don't drink the tap water if the locals don't drink it...
HIV/AIDS is rampant in some parts of the world...more serious than an upset tummy and a case of the "squirts". |
