| In the States there was a non-competition clause in every work contract I signed (and there were quite a few). Why would I be surprised to find it in a contract here? |

The question wasn't if it is surprising or wrong to have non-competition clauses in contracts in Taiwan-- or even if these clauses wouldn't exist elsewhere. The question was concerning enforceability. |
