| WD40 obviously HCT sent you a copy of the old benefits package as from 2007 health coverage is free for all staff and their dependants. What the policy now covers is not quite clear and some have said it is not as comprehensive, and another thread has mentioned that it may no longer have any international cover ...but it is free. |

| Does anyone know if HCT pay for utilities and if not, how much does it cost to run a small villa as someone said you might get a villa if you have a family |

Sandy thanks
Do you know if the yearly flight money is paid in cash or directly paid by HCT - what I mean is, can you get cash for tickets but not travel and so save the cash and travel the next year? |

Does HCT not have a 'utilities allowance?' At UAEU this is an element of salary - only heads of households get it though, so if it's a teaching couple only the husband.
UAEU gives cash in lieu of air tickets although the calculations are a little arcane. They also stopped asking for proof that people had gone home a few years ago so if you want to stay all summer in 50 degree heat while not using the a/c to save on utility bills, then you can. |

| HCT has never given a utilities allowance. The Petroleum Institute is the only one I know of that actually pays the electric and water bills directly. (They don't pay any other utilities like phone and cooking gas.) |

| On returning from leave on Feb. 11th, HCT personnel will be informed that the International Daman plan has been downgraded to the Regional plan, (some have already been officially informed). They have the option to pay out of pocket to upgrade to the International plan. They must decide by the 18th of Feb. when all health cards will be collected and new ones issued |
