I lived in Chungju (theses days Choongju) for three years and loved it. Small enough town that the whole expat community could gather in my apartment, or someone else's for a holiday party - or special event, and have a great time. But, close enough to be in the heart of Seoul in only ninety minutes. Traffic was easy, so no problem getting to work in about 12 minutes.
Korea is a small country - no where is very far from a major city where you can find huge book stores, Western chain food shops like Outback, TGIF, and much more.
The small cities present the best of both worlds. Ignore those who suggest that only the large cities present a decent way to go. |
