Its all very well and good getting a U.K based bank to give you a mortgage for property over here but if you work here and earn ytl its gonna be a lot harder to pay it back in sterling .
So far I'm not aware of the local banks been prepared to offer us (foreign workers) a low interest loan to buy somewhere to live of our own instead of having to pay ever increasing rent .
Maybe in the future that is gonna change but it seems unlikely . If you buy over here they think you can afford to buy outright ,which of course is totally unrealistic . |

| For those of us used to UK (or Italian prices) that's cheap. What's Bodrum like in the winter? Perhaps I could stock up on my 'English for International Tourism' books and do a bit of P/T teaching... |
