I think it's natural to take being lied to or ripped off personally. The Chinese might just consider it 'business' but any Westerner would take it personally.

Yeah but how do they take it if you were ever to do/not do something that they telepathically asked you to do/not do?

Dear Jeff,

Years ago I worked as an AIDS specialist. Part of my job included interviews with individuals about their sexual history. At that time, most of my patients were young, single, white men.

I heard from a local L.A. guy, who had met up with a recently arrived individual from Italy. They struck up a conversation and decided to have dinner together. Then, after dinner, they agreed to go into Hollywood to "look for girls."

After a couple of hours, they decided to return to the hotel of the Italian traveller and watch some porn. Before the night was over, the local guy had, without protection, plowed the rear of the Italian visitor.

Afterward, the Italian had expressed dismay, saying that he couldn't understand how such a thing could have happened between them.

Reminds me a lot of your story.

OK, I think I got your meaning: I should wear a condom when I agree to a contract... Or maybe a Butt Plug...

I'd like to add that the amount in discpute is close to $700 US so I am not arguing about a few Shekels here...

$700 is not a small amount to fight for.

What I find interesting is that you are getting burned at the start of the contract . Usually they burn you at the end. Maybe a blessing . My last job they got me for more that a 1000. Told to get out of my apartment a week before the contract ended .

Um tell them you now want to be paid weekly, perhaps in advance, as you have found them not to be trust worthy. I dont think you will win out on this, so I would be prepared to cut my loss and cut and run.

Now, he does a turn around says I am only going to be paid for actual hours worked! I am pisssed off. He says I only worked 36 hours so they will pay me for that time not the 80 hours for the month for the full salary. When I said to him that the contract does not say I am an hourly employee and will not get paid less by working less hours than 20 a week he says:Because the contract started on March 1 it was not effective for February!!!. Even though THEY asked me to start work earlier.

Hopefuly when you start in March, things will go as stated in the contract.

But the fact of the matter is (and this would be the case in any country) you had no contract for the feb hours worked, so they have no legal obligations whatsoever for that period.

Gotta accept it man.
