Too bad the owner changed her mind. There is pos kota, and there is an Auto Mobil mag; both have lots of ads for cars. What kind of car do you want to buy? But yes, be very careful.

I picked up a KIA Sportage 2000 model for 58 million a few months back and I've been very pleased with it. I found it in Pos Kota and when wanting to check it out, took it to an authorised KIA Dealership (I went to Kalimalang, but now use Rawamangun as it's closer). They hook it up to the computer and check it from top to toe for a small fee. Then take it to the police station and check to make sure it isn't stolen. If you get the green light from both of them - you're good to go.

xsbir, I have to correct your pronoun usage relating to my tale of woe. HE bought the car in '97. SHE has obviously been bugging him for ages to get rid of it. The first time I called HER, she organised a meeting. When I called from the taxi to get precise directions, HE deliberately sent me the wrong way.

To be honest, I was livid at the time but, typing this, I empathise.

Pos Kota has been my bible and my budget is similar to Salam's. Wish me luck and point me in the right direction. PM if necessary. I'm desperate and an easy sell.
