I would think getting hired for any job would depend on your abilities as a teacher and your personal qualities, such as whether students would like you and want to be in the classroom with you. If you feel comfortable with yourself, then I don't know why employers or students wouldn't.
Perhaps that "obese" person Jetgirly was talking about was the best teacher, that's why she was hired first. I can't imagine that employers would be wanting to "compete" for male students' or parents' interest.  |

| I've taught at three schools (two private, one community college) and found them to be EXTREMELY catty. You're lucky if you've managed to avoid that so far. |
