Well, actually when I used the online tax service, I e-filed and I did get a receipt.

There was also a tax credit for being a teacher if I recall. US teachers often have to supply paper, crayons, etc. out of their own pockets.

I imagine that would apply only to teachers in the US, though. (Although I do sometimes get fed up trying to track down supplies here, and I just end up buying my own!)

Well, the online tax preparation program is set as an interview. You answer the questions and it fills out the form. It said that since I listed teacher as my current obligation, then I could ask for the tax credit. It never asked if I am teaching in the US. The program was quite sensitive to overseas status in other areas where it seemed to matter.

I made the claim, if it wasn't properly done, I expect they will tell me. I'll just wait until then...
