Between the already mentioned government-sponsored programs, the "DIF" (Droit Individuel a la Formation; which grants company employees 20 hours of training/year of their choice, paid by their company - in addition to what they may already have!), the ever-increasing need for "profs" in universities and business colleges, I can assure you that there is a ton of work out there -- I, and friends/colleagues, never cease to receive offers from training co.s and schools in desperate need of trainers/teachers. As I've said several times in this forum, if you are a decently (or better) skilled English trainer with a pleasant personality and good work ethic you will never be out of work in France. I'm off to Russia-Estonia-Finland for 2 weeks, so won't be able to respond for a while - hope this answers your question(s). |

Enjoy your holiday go to guy!!!!!!!!!
I'd also agree, that there is a kind of 'boom' hitting the South West of France too, however the contracts are short term part time ones mainly. If you're good at juggling hours and lessons that's ok, if not, it's tough. |

Almost all of which requires that you are legally entitled to take the post, which is extremely unlikely unless you are a citizen of an EU member state. |

Folks - Please remember summer months means more TEFL demand, hence more need for English posts, but a huge number of jobs are just short temporary contracts. Once the kids are back at school the jobs end and demand weakens.
As much as go2guy mentions "a ton" of work there is little evidence to suggest this deluge of work equates to full-time, long-term positions. |
