| I think some teachers' experience with previous ALTs might have made them more resistent to games. I think one approach that can build that resistance is some people coming in with the idea "I have a game I really think the kids will enjoy" rather than "I have a game/ activity that will be the best way of practising that point". The latter can demand a whole library of game ideas or quite a bit of time on the net searching, but is less likely to stir conservative members of staff up. For one thing, if anyone asks them for an explanation why something that went wrong was tried, at least they will have a reason |
