G Cthulhu (man, that's a hard moniker to spell correctly - apologies if it's wrong), yes, I agree with you. Interpersonal skills and connections are certainly as important as education and work ethic. But, they only kick in after you get your feet through the door. In other words, you won't get a look at a "good" job and a chance to show off your interpersonal skills and use your fantastic connections unless you can demonstrate that you have related education and have a demonstrated record of success.

But, G Cthulhu is absolutely right. No matter how well qualified you are and how hard you work, you need some charm, or at least an understanding of how to carry one's self around other human beings. I've seen lots of qualified and experienced "teachers" who were, well, less than in tune with humanity. They should not survive the death of NOVA.

Does anyone here listen to Tokyoliz? I hope so. She knows her stuff and always provide great insight and informed advice.
