I congratulate them as non-fearful of LIFE:
Quote: |
Life is a corrupting process from the time a child learns to play his mother off against his father in the politics of when to go to bed; he who fears corruption fears life.
Saul Alinsky |
No doubt they know they are justified.
"If we don't do it, someone else will!"
Quote: |
The first sign of corruption in a society that is still alive is that the end justifies the means.
Georges Bernanos |
Yes. It's everywhere...and everywhere folks like us, with Internet, can keep VIGILANT...and build COMMUNITY
Quote: |
Corruption, the greatest single bane of our society today.
Olusegun Obasanjo |

In the final analysis, the incident is seen as originating from an emotional expression of the frustration and anger of the proud people of China who had been subject to ever increasing oppression from without and decadent corruption from within.

I got a great letter from them (with my name in it) describing the two positions that were open and after I replied with my resume and coverletter I got another email with a few more details:
"Below are the total expenses to be made by the applicant to process all the necessary papers that will enable him/her to work legally here in Spain:-
(1) For the secure of accommodation:- 480 euros.
(2) The process of work permit:- 270 euros.
(3) Seguridad social (Social security) 68.24 euros
---------------------
818.24euros"
---------------------
When I asked for photos of the school and a lot more details AND if I needed to pay that money to them or to government officials I never heard back from them. That was about 3 days ago.
I also got a generic looking contract sent to me as an attachment.
As much as I would LOVE to work in Spain I'm afraid this is a scam! I have also put an ad on Craigslist in Madrid asking locals if there is such a school and I've heard that there isn't. |

Since the national law of Spain precludes North Americans from legal work in the country, whatever this scam is charging to 'process a work permit' is an obvious scam. |

Thnx |

Yeah, sorry for the over-generalisation!
International schools, military bases, companies based in the States but with branches in Spain - this last isn't related to language teaching, though the first two offer a very few positions on occasion.
But private language schools literally can't get legal work permits for non-EU citizens. |

As a Newbie in the Spain Forum,
and an Oldie in the China Forum,
I am pleased by the level of...
civility here...
In China Forum...there's much abuse of:
*words
*ad hominem
*trolling
I look forward to being in Spain beyond digitalia...
...will enter via Irish Citizenship via Grandparents... |

Ay, therein lies/lays the rub-a-dubb-dubb
FTs in China using 'we'...tends to mean "we FTs"
'They'...is "them spittinin' Chineseese
Your use of "We" suggests Solidarity rather than polarity
I know I can benefit from some Spanish psychic healing
I find myself at time searching out for the negative here-in-China
For example. I was jogging to school, along a beautiful lake
and out of the corner of my eye
I spotted a brown spot
and I observed that part of me was ATTRACTED to that to see/analyze it
To be able to say:
"Yeah...that's them Chineseese parents giving their kids anal freedom..."
However, not being so anally fixated
I continued jogging
w/out testing such a compulsive hypothesis
And one may ask
'What does this have to do with Unscrupulous Souls
attempting to defraud English Teachers?"
In the Spirit of San Juan de la Cruz
and the Cloud of Unknowing...
Yo ya no se!!!
Looking forward to the Streets of Sevilla... |

It's a very bad idea to let these crooks know that people are wise to them as this helps them to learn from their mistakes, hone their tactics and produce ads which some people may fall for. Never e-mail them to tell them their mistakes as that's as good as being an accomplice! |

Laluna intl school Laluna intl sch <[email protected]>
Be careful, I sent them the most inappropriate resume and they respond as if it was legitimate. I guess they are trying to bate people in with the yahoo.es. email addresses. They always claim their website is not available yet. |
