Guilty as charged m'lad. What a horrible pic too, a crowded hotel swimming pool no doubt surrounded by pasty-faced, beer-bellied, tattooed Essex girls worse the wear from the karaoke night at the Irish bar, waiting for their "heart attack on a plate" traditional English Lunch. Give me tapas, olive oil, paella, bronzed Spanish beauties and Valencian beaches any day over that. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
Japanman, come on, we're only having a bit of banter. Hod's got it pretty much correct about Berlin : unemployment over 20% and a definite lack of language schools. Berlin shows about 54 schools for a population of 3.4 million, Valencia 80 for a population of 800,000.
Berlin reminded me a bit of Finland - those locals who need to usually speak superb English so the market just isn't there. Ironic what you both say about small markets as I would say that Riga is the opposite. Hardly any natives here so tonnes of work for those that want it. It's not a patch on Berlin though |

Just had a look at Riga on the wikioracle and it looks like a lovely place.
The trouble with japan is that places that you live/work in are usualy very ugly. There doesn't appear to be the European concept here of having city squares etc. But the plus points of living here are great, just fancy a change.
I agree about the lager boy resorts in Spain. A lot of places in thailand are getting like that but ofcourse without the Essex girls. Just lager boys and the local variety of girl.
That horrid pic must ahve been taking the mick? |

The picture is 100% genuine and was taken somewhere in the Canary Islands, from www.ltur.de.
You may mock, but that was from a German holiday website frequented by the average Bernt und Brunhilde who probably sit in on one of your English classes every week or so.
From what I've seen this year, most Europe-based English teachers choose to relax on quite a different coast altogether, the south coast of England, doing kiddies summer schools. |

I don't see how it's possible as it takes six hours by train from Berlin to Warsaw. Also Berlin's a far better place with a lot more happening. |

She probably commutes daily from Warszawa to Berlin in her imagination with the help of some bad chemicals. |
