| I quite like it at KFUPM. No doubt there are other places. Do remember that things can change, not normally for the better. |

To Van Norden...Does BAE ever hire women ESL? I think not but the promise of bulging pay packets makes me ask anyway. |

is it correct that to get hired at BAE, you must be in-country? i've applied a few times, once had an application package couriered to me, but never made it further.
no biggy that i haven't landed with 'em tho, must admit to having mixed feelings about teaching for an arms manufacturer... |

| Who are STA? |
Part of the Coffey International Group, Specialist Training Australia (STA) provides clients with access to the quality training and education services. STA is now offering exciting opportunities for English Language Trainers in Saudi Arabia who share our professionalism and commitment to service. They also pay 16,000 SAR/month which is pretty good by KSA standards.

Not true. I had an interview and was told that i would need an English bank account to have the salary paid in. I also had to have a British account to claim back the expenses for the trip to Preston for the interview.

Depends on what you mean by 'in-country'. If you mean do you have to be in the UK, then no. I applied from Thailand and had the interview in Preston, UK.

In-country means just that "in the country"; you said you had to be in-country for your interview which is part of the application process.
Anyways...carry on... |

Yes, but you never made it clear which country - the host country e.g. KSA or the country from which you were applying? Obvioiusly I would have had to visit Preston, UK for the interview! How else would I have had a medical exam? Interviews can be conducted by phone but medical exams?
Duh! Are you being deliberately obstructive, taking the mickey, or just using the family brain cell? (God I hope you're not a teacher if it's the latter!!)
nuff already!

BAE is a British company therefore would logically be based in the UK; therefore in country would mean the interviews would be in the UK.
However if you are already in KSA then you could be interviewed in KSA

The guy in charge of the TSI-SEL is popularly known as the "headmaster". I doubt they'll be recruiting females until they have a headmistress.
As for Coffey/STA , they are subcontractors to SDT. |

I'm afraid you show your ignorance with every post! Yes, BAE is a British company, but the hiring process involves many agencies and takes place in many countries which include Australia and New Zealand.
I personally know people who had interviews in both countries (Australia and New Zealand) only recently.
Oh and one more thing: you are also wrong when you say "if you are already in KSA then you could be interviewed in KSA". Even if you were already there, you'd still have to visit one of the other hiring countries, UK, Australia and New Zealand et al for an interview.
Have we put this to bed yet or not?
