I read the threads that were pulled - twice - for the common sense reason that it is completely inappropriate to post anyone's personal emails on a public board without their express permission. As a fellow American I have to say that I found this completely unprofessional on your part.
If you just disappear without the permission of your employer, you can fully expect to be in the situation that you are now. You can not just send back an email saying that you are taking a semester off - which is what your email said. There is not an employer in the Gulf that would NOT have fired you for this.
And I am also sorry to say that if your last post is an example of your level of English, I am embarrassed at the product of the American educational system.

Well said, VS.
I didn't see the postings, but is it just me.? ......I'm becoming increasingly appalled at the level of grammar, spelling and punctuation (or rather lack of it) displayed by folks, claiming to be EFL teachers. Then they wonder why employers are not prepared to pay higher salaries. These people are bringing the EFL profession into disrepute.
Anybody, and everybody, can make a typo, but there is an edit button and a preview possibility. |
