Dear ghost,
Well, I did have a good number of my students make the attempt to convert me (actually, I should have written "revert" since Muslims believe everyone is born Muslim, so if you change to Islam, you're just "reverting" to your "original faith.")
They'd drop by the office to talk and give me copies of the Quran (in English, of course) and other religious tracts. But it never bothered me; in fact, I was rather flattered. I mean, they apparently liked me enough to try to save me from eternal damnation. How could I get aggravated at that?

Their theological position is that they gain merit in the afterlife for saving a damned soul. In my expereince most of them only attempt to save the souls of those they like. So you should feel flattered.
